Fine-print score
0–100. Higher means we found fewer hidden rules and gotchas in the documents we read. It is not a safety or trust rating. It's built only from the hidden rules and gotchas we found, so it's fully traceable.
How to read it
What it measures: how much fine print we found that could cost you: hidden rules, gotchas (VPN ban, minimum hold time, news limits, gag clause, payout cap) and places where the firm's own pages say different things. It only counts what we found in the documents we read. It doesn't measure whether a firm pays out, its prices or its trading conditions.
- Every firm starts at 100.
- Each hidden rule takes points off, depending on what happens if you break it: account breached −4, profit voided −3, payout delayed or denied −2, info only −0.5.
- Each gotcha badge takes off −6 if it's severe (red) or −3 if it's found (amber).
- Each plan detail where the firm's own sources disagree takes off −2.
- Score = 100 minus all the points off, rounded, and never below 0.
High vs low: a high score (70+, green) means we found few or mild catches. A low score (under 40, red) means we found lots of rules that can breach your account, void profit or hold up a payout. Amber is in between. A high score isn't a safety rating. Provisional firms have had fewer of their legal documents read, so they can look better than they really are. That's why only Full coverage firms are ranked.

Total off: 45. Score: 100 − 45 = 55.
Watch out: the score is a quick guide, not a verdict. Open the firm's page and read the hidden rules yourself, especially any marked "account breach".
⚠ Read this first: a firm whose legal documents we read in full will show more hidden rules than a firm where we only read the help centre, so partly-read firms can score artificially well. Only firms with Full coverage are ranked. Full means a hand-curated, clause-by-clause read of the firm's terms and its trading-rules or prohibited-practices document (2+ documents). Every other firm's score is Provisional and listed separately, unranked.

Score = max(0, 100 − points off), rounded. Severities come from the curated legal read; where a rule came from a browser capture, severity was inferred from the wording (flagged on the firm page). The score says nothing about payout reliability, pricing or execution.
